Review Policy

I always relish the opportunity to review books and love reading many genres; police procedurals, paranormal, literary fiction, fantasy/sci-fi, mystery/murder mystery, YA, new adult, and romance. Thank you for considering me as a reviewer for your book(s).  In addition to the traditional printed book format, I also have a kindle app and will review books in either format.  Here are a few more details to be aware of:

• The only genres that I will not consider for review are: horror, erotica, overtly religious, women’s lit, self-help, and cook books.
• I don’t review the books in a series out of order, so if you want me to review a series start with the first book (that doesn’t fall into one of the genres mentioned above). And we’ll go from there.
• Review turnaround time is typically three to five weeks from the receipt of the book (different from receipt of request), unless a specific date is requested (such as release date/pre-release date).
• I strive for my reviews to be honest, informative, and typically include quotes from the text* and plot details that support my opinion without being too spoilery. Although I will not include any details of major plot points (such as the ending), I may mention their effect on the reader (me) or book as a whole (in terms of effectiveness). In addition, books are rated on a scale of 1 to 5 bookmarks (the description of which is located on my book review page).  If available, author and publisher websites are also linked to the review.
• I will most likely also post my portions or the entirety of my reviews on Amazon and/or Goodreads, where I review as Ree @  Ree’s Review.s
• I do not sell ARCs.
• I would love to conduct author interviews and/or book giveaways in coordination with the review(s).
